Counterpuncher
A turn based roguelike with a focus on reacting to enemy attacks and counter attacking through them.
Mechanics:
Attacks are represented via cards and can be either be slow or fast. Slow attacks can only be played on your main turn, while fast attacks can be played either on your main turn or in response to an attack.
Cards have three main stats: power, speed, and resistance. Power is the amount of damage a card does. Speed determines the card that goes first (represented by a green border). If an attack goes first, it has a chance to interrupt the other attack. An attack interrupted this way has a red border.
Additionally, some cards are modifiers. A modifier does nothing the turn it is played. Instead, its stats and properties are added to the next card played. Only one modifier can be applied.
Barrels can be destroyed and may drop health and new cards. However, they may explode when destroyed.
Controls:
Controls are listed at the bottom of the screen. Additionally, number keys or hjkl may be used in place of the arrow keys and Enter may be used in place of Space.
